Note
Joseph was born Oct. 15, 1842, in La Pointe, Chippewa Co., Wis., son of Edward Blanchard and Mary Buffalo. He died June 28, 1917, at the Wis. Veterans Home, Farmington Twp., Waupaca Co., Wis., and was buried in the cemetery located on home property.

Joseph was married three times. In 1863 he was united in marriage to Alice Cadott, at Chippewa Falls, Chippewa Co., Wis. She died in Jan., 1885, on the Lac Court Oreilles Indian Reservation, at Reserve, Sawyer Co., Wis. Their known children were: Michael, b. 15 Oct 1880 & Edward, b. 4 Jul 1884.

In about 1890, Joseph married Mrs. Angeline La Grew, who died June 20, 1897, at Turtle Lake, Barron Co., Wis. Their known children were: Maggie, b. 15 Feb 1891 & John, b. 10 Aug 1893, died in 1909.

On May 21, 1898, Joseph married the widow Sophia Swager, at Barron, Wi. This was her second marriage. Her first was April 4, 1875, John Swager at Camden, Hillsdale Co., Mich. He died Feb. 17, 1894, in Beaver Twp., Polk Co, Wis., and was buried there in Mt. Hope Cemetery, near Turtle Lake.

Obituary of Mitchell La Rush
The Sawyer County Record June 13, 1929

Mitchell La Rush died at Reserve, May 28, 1929 at the age of 72 years. Funeral services were held at Reserve, May 29.

Mr. LaRush was born at Eagle Prairie, Wisconsin and came to Hayward at an early age. He is survived by his wife, one son Dosie of Hayward, two daughters Antoinette and Mrs. Roy Deverall of this city, two sisters, Mrs. Julia Valley of Reserve and Mrs. (Sophie) Martin of Seattle, WA.

Mr. LaRush was widely known here where he had spent so many years. He was honest, industrious, and a good neighbor.

The relatives have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
