    Samuel Whipple lived and died in a house on Abbot's Lane, near North Main Street, in Providence. The house is called the Abbott House, and is still standing. He gave by deed of gift land to his son, Noah, dated May 8, 1695; also a deed of gift to son Samuel of one hundred and fifty acres and dwelling house about three miles northwest from the town of Providence, on both sides of the Mohassuc River, dated November 25, 1706. He died March 12, 1710, and was buried in the north burial-ground. His wife Mary died December 14, 1722, aged 83, and is buried by his side; also his two daughters, who were first and second wives of Robert Curry, of Providence. His will is dated March 9, 1710.
