Karen passed away Monday, May 21, 2007 at Southwest Healthcare Services in Bowman, ND. Karen Kay Larson was born June 24, 1943 in Dickinson, ND to Frank and Doris (Zander) Kubik. She grew up on the family ranch southwest of Manning, ND and attended country school for eight years before finishing her high school in Dickinson and graduating from Campus High School. It was here that they raised their family until the fall of 1980 when they moved to town.

The family lived in both Dickinson and Bowman over the next 26 years. Karen's close relationship with the Lord was very evident in her daily devotions, prayer, and how she shared her life with others. Karen truly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and taking part in various community activities such as the choir.

She is survived by her husband, Dave of Bowman; both parents, Frank and Doris Kubik of Dickinson; two daughters, Julie (Greg) Schoneck of Minot, ND; Nancy (Michael) Woods of Powell, WY; a brother, Jeff Kubik of Dickinson, ND; a sister Jane (Les) Schneider of Manning, ND; six grandchildren, Jesse, Levi and Sarah Schoneck; Philip, Joy and Jonah Woods; and 12 nieces and nephews, Amanda (James) Smith; Matthew Kubik; Wendy Schneider; and Becky (Heath) Braun.
