Charlie passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson, ND.

Charles Anton Fisher was born October 4, 1915 in Stark County, ND to Lyle and Anna (Dvorak) Fisher. He grew up on the family farm and attended Versippe School. After school he continued to work on the farm. The family moved to the farm in Dunn County. On October 27, 1936 Charlie and Myra Beatrice (Kubik) were married in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec, ND. He worked for WPA for a short period of time. Charlie worked side by side with his wife and built their farm as they made their living and raised their family on the farm. The couple continued to live on the farm until they retired in 1976 and moved to Dickinson. Charlie continued to help on the farm and enjoyed his trips there, especially during the harvest season, as this was his favorite time of year. After Myra passed away Charlie moved to Pioneer Haven and eventually to St. Benedict’s Health Center. Charlie always provided for his family and made sure they never went without. He often spoke of the difficult times during the Depression years. Charlie loved music, reading, dancing, playing cards and going to rummage sales. In his earlier years, he enjoyed riding horse, as he moved the cows from pasture to pasture. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed visiting and spending time with family and friends. Charlie had a strong belief in the Lord and always did what was right and honest. He was a member of Eagles Club, Knights of Columbus, Farmers Union, and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.

Charlie is survived by his daughters, Eileen Ereth, Beverly Larson and Diane Wood; son, Charles (Carma) Fisher; grandchildren, Michelle (Brad) Dwyer, Wade (Rayanna) Larson, Melissa Rapp, Trisha Morrell, Kara (Chris) Bekooy and Megan Fisher; six great grandchildren and a sister, Emma Kadrmas.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Myra; both parents; brother, Clarence Fisher; sisters, Leona Pavlicek and Claudia Thomas; sons-in-law; Lloyd Ereth, Andy Larson and Grant Wood.

Family suggests memorials be made to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and St. Benedict’s Health Care Center, Dickinson, ND.
Burial5 September 2009He was buried on 5 September 2009 in Saint Wenceslaus Cemetery at Dickinson, Stark, North Dakota, United States.

DICKINSON — Emma Kadrmas, 92, Dickinson, passed away Jan. 5, 2010, at St. Benedict's Health Center, Dickinson. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. MST Monday, Jan. 11, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with the Rev. Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson.

Emma Elizabeth Fisher was born April 11, 1917, the daughter of Anna (Dvorak) and Lyle Fisher. Emma attended country school at Versippi in Stark County and Iota District School in Dunn County. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses, watching the coyotes running from one hill to another while bringing in the dairy cows, and especially working outside with her father and brother rather than working inside. Emma and Walter Kadrmas were married Oct. 9, 1945, in Dickinson. Together, they farmed and raised their children in Dunn County. They left the farm and moved to Dickinson and Emma decided to get her G.E.D. She then worked for 15 years with Home Health. She especially enjoyed taking care of the home patients and earning their friendship. Emma was always excited to have the grandchildren visit the farm and learn everything there was to know about raising poultry and farm animals. She and her grandchildren had fun sharing times together, enjoying homemade breads and checking the garden for ripe produce. Her greatest joy was reminiscing with the grandchildren about the differences between the farm life and the city life. She enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle and was very active in various card clubs. She also loved old time music and dancing.

She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Hospital Auxiliary and St. Ann's Alter Society.

Emma is survived by her daughters, Lori (William) Faiman, Bismarck, and Connie (James) Fischer, Olympia, Wash; her daughter-in-law, Bobbie Kadrmas, Dickinson; her grandchildren, Roque (Karen) Kadrmas, Mark (Gina) Kadrmas and Kent Kadrmas, Brad (Jane) Faiman, Jamie (Kevin) Anhalt, Scott (Lori) Faiman, Ruth (Paul) Lacher, Jonathon (Shana) Fischer and Sarah (Jeff) Pearson; her great-grandchildren, Jill (Troy) Lillehoff, Holly Kadrmas, Jesse Kadrmas, Brianna Kadrmas, Bradley (Nikki) Faiman, Carley Faiman, Steven Anhalt, Michael Anhalt, Christoper Faiman, Kayla Faiman, Trevor Lacher, Alexanna Fischer, Kaylynn Fischer and Cole Pearson; one great-great-grandchild, Finn Edward Lillehoff; and a brother-in-law, George Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; her son, Marvin; her brothers, Clarence and Charles Fisher; her sisters, Leona Pavlicek and Claudia Thomas.

Obituary19 December 2013Obituary of Eugene William Fisher

Eugene William of Tempe, Arizona, died December 17, 2013 from cancer at the age of 84.

Gene was born December 26, 1928 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Anton and Albina Fisher. He graduated from Versippi High School. Gene proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. He was married to Sheila Johnston on December 26, 1968.

Gene Fisher was a celebrity among contractors. There are few contractors who do not know Gene's name and reputation. For another thing, he had a storybook tale to tell: Gene started in the construction business at age 10 buying Fisher Sand & Gravel's first trucks. Gene continued his career with his love of gravel. He mined in over 850 gravel pits throughout his life time. Gene and Sheila went on to build several businesses in North Dakota. Gene's ability to engineer equipment surpassed most formally educated engineers, which was remarkable given his high school education. His patented air separator invention is currently sold in seven different countries all over the world. Gene was an active member of the Elks Lodge 1137 and served as Exalted Ruler from 1978 - 1979.

Gene is survived by his wife, Sheila, and four children: David Fisher of Fargo, ND; Greg and Suzanne Medley of Tempe, AZ; Thomas and Candice Fisher of Tempe, AZ; Mike and Christina Fisher of Dickinson, N D. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; Katherine Fisher, James Fisher, Ashley Fisher, Kristen Medley, Matthew Medley, Hannah Medley, Grant Fisher, Ryan Fisher, Ana Fisher, and Autumn Fisher. He is survived by two brothers: Arnold Fisher of Dickinson, ND and Jordon and Darlene Fisher of Dickinson, N D.

Note21 October 2013Death of North Bend man pulled from Mercer Slough ruled accidental drowning
The Bellevue Reporter, October 21, 2013

The King County Medical Examiner's Office is listing the cause of death for a 54-year-old North Bend man whose body was recovered off the Sweyolocken boat launch in the Mercer Slough on Oct. 10 as an accidental freshwater drowning after he inadvertently drove his pickup truck into the water.
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle submerged in the slough around 9 a.m. Two divers from the department swam out to the sunken Ford F-150 and found no one inside, according to police. The vehicle was removed using a large tow truck, and divers with the Mercer Island Police Department were called in. They found the body of James B. Fisher around 1 p.m. about 35 feet from where his truck had been submerged and about seven feet below water, said Ofc. Carla Iafrate of the Bellevue Police Department.
Fisher did not show up for work that morning, nor did he respond to cellphone texts from his wife, according to police. Iafrate said the department likely won't release further information regarding the accidental drowning.
