Mrs. Robert Robson of Rio died Sunday 15 February 1926 at her home north of Rio. She had been a sufferer of hay fever and asthma for may years and had been practically an invalid for ten years. Last December she fell and had been confined to bed since then.

Mary Lucy Ann Davis was born in Someston, Somertonshire, England 19 November 1840, the daughter of James and Martha (Edwards) Davis. She came to America in the early 1850's and settled in Hermon, Illinois. After a short residence, the family moved to Galesburg, Illinois where she spent her girlhood. She married Robert Robson 4 April 1865 at her Broad Street home in Galesburg by Dr. Edward Beecher, the pastor of the "Old Brick Church". Since her marriage her home had been in Rio township at the old homeplace since 1875.

She was a charter member of and one of the organizers of the Congregational Church of Rio and was always interested in its affairs.

She was survived by her daughters, Mrs. Fred S. Brown, Mrs. Arthur D. Richards of Galesburg, her sons, Will and George E. of Rio, four granddaughters, Miss Edith Brown, Galesburg and Miss Francis and Marion Stowall of San Francisco, California. Her husband died 21 September 1923 and her daughter Nellie R. Stowell died in San Francisco 3 June 1921. Funeral Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home, Dr. Steward M. Campbell of Macon, Missouri and Reverend Sawyer of Rio in charge. Burial was in a private mausoleum in Hope cemetery.
