Claryce was born Aug. 8th 1939 at home in Maple Ridge Township, Isanti County, MN to Harvey and Ida (Siewert) Splittstoser. She was a farm girl and graduated from Braham High School in 1957. She started working at the Park Cafe in Braham at age 14 and continued in various jobs until she started her career in the Braham schools as a cook, and worked for 20+ years. Claryce married Howard Lundahl in 1959 and they raised four boys. Howard and Claryce lived in the Twin Cities and Fargo, ND before settling on a farm in Braham, MN where they’ve lived for the last 39 years. There they raised their boys and taught them the values and importance of hard work and family. She attended St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham where she was confirmed and was an active member. Her faith led her to serve others. She did this by volunteering at Tusen Tack in Braham and serving Meals on Wheels. She also traveled to Ukraine to help at an orphanage, to Africa for a medical mission’s trip, and to Canada on a mission for bible school. She was an un-official adopted mom to many people in need. She was the kind of person who was non-judgmental, accepting and supportive of those going through hard times. So many people called her “ma”. She was cherished and well loved by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert and twin sister Corrine. Claryce is survived by her husband, Howard; sons, Kim, Karl (Bonnie), Kendall (Tracy) and Kurt; grandchildren, Kristie (Nick) Block, Lacy (Torsten) Wolff, Laura Storkamp, Adam, Kyle, Kori, and Kami Lundahl; great-grandchildren, Adeline, Charley, Marshall, Colton, Ruger, and Milo; siblings, Ordeen (Merilyn) Splittstoser, Geraleen (Donald) Westerberg, and Glorian Hein; many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. A Memorial Service was held on Fri. Feb 13th at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham. Arrangements were by the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home. |

| Obituary | 2 January 2015 | Obituary of Glen Edward Splittstoser Isanti County News - January 2, 2015 Glenn was received into heaven on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 following an accidental fall in October that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Glenn was born January 6, 1933 at home to Raymond and Ada (Siewert) Splittstoser in Walsh County, North Dakota. He began school in Isanti, Minnesota and continued in Whittier District 54 and North Star School, both in the Dalbo area. Glenn was drafted into the Army in 1953 and stationed primarily at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He served as a combat construction specialist, returning in 1955. He was honorably discharged from reserve status in 1961. For his service he received both the good conduct and national defense medals. Glenn married Joyce Wolf on April 5, 1957. While dairy farming in the Dalbo area they raised five daughters. After selling the cows, Glenn began a new career in construction, continuing to build houses until 2004 and completing his final construction project in 2013. Upon retiring he was able to devote his time to restoring Farmall tractors. He was a great problem solver and enjoyed working hard. In Glenn’s own words he lived his dream life. Most important to him were God, his family and friends. He even fulfilled his life long dream of traveling to Alaska this past summer. He sincerely enjoyed working and sharing his knowledge and life with his personal family, church family and community in practical ways. Glenn is survived by Joyce, his wife of 57 years; five daughters, Corrine (David) Pearson, Vicki (Kevin) Carlson, Denise (Sean) Woodiwiss, Suzanne (Rick) Evenson and Tricia (Clint) Krueger; sixteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister Irma Parzyck and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Tyler Carlson. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2015, on what would have been his 82nd birthday, at Wyanett Free Church, 7036 MN Highway 95, Princeton. Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Interment to follow at Dalbo Baptist Cemetery. |
